Cleaning the 410 extra barrel
OK so I got a “Crown Saver” which is a long plastic tube about 1/8th in dia with a loop at the end to put a clean patch. I can only get it in the front of the barrel about 6″, wiggle and turn it as it goes past the baffles. Then it stops, can’t get thru all the way. It’s real dirty to, I can see black crap on the loop and I haven’t even got it all the way thru yet. What’s the best way to get this thing out the breach? What do you guys do?

Photo22.. I found a straw here at the house, wow that works great! No hang ups at all, straight thru no problem. Damn was that barrel filthy. 😯
A good way to clean a barrel is to use a piece of .080 Weedeater line. Cut a piece long enough to fit out the barrel by about 6 inches, then heat one end with a lighter and push it down on the counter to make it flatten out. Make sure the flattened out piece isn’t too big to fit down the barrel, then take the other end of it and sharpen it to a point. Poke the sharp end through a patch and then thread the line through the barrel and pull it all the way through. The line is good and stiff but will not scratch anything.

@ LmTSS… I don’t see a baffle grub screw on mine, or in the exploded view in the manual.
Exactly what I was going to say.
Just double some heavy fishing line, and push the looped end down the barrel till it pokes out the breech. Put a patch in the loop and pull it thru.
If you use any type of fluid, turn the gun upside down to keep the fluid out of your transfer port.
Quickly dry fire a few shots to blow anything out that might have gotten in there.

You need to use a soda straw to help guide the crown saver into the barrel.
If the baffle is removable, take it off. Mine was held on by one Allen grub screw.
