Q:

Bottle Wrenches

I have seen many bottle collars ruined when people tried to take them off. Others simply couldn’t get them off. Still others get them off with a lot of trouble.

I’ve been looking for a good deal on the proper tool for a while now and have finally found them!

In the latest sales flier from ENCO,(The whole sale division of MSC Machine tool sales) has the adjustable spanner wrenches on sale.

These are not to be confused with what is called a spanner in the UK. These are for removing exactly what we have on our bottle. A round collar with a hole in it for the spanner to lock into. It uses a semi circular articulated arch with a pin formed on the apex of the terminating circle that mates to the hole in the collar of our bottle

They normally sell for $52.84 and are now on sale for $25.95

They can be had at use-enco.com or 1-800-873-3626
Part number SN317-6984

With this wrench you should be able to remove the valve body on you bottle and work on it to your hearts content without damaging the collar with all those ugly pipe wrench marks! 😀
