Condor tank 490cc to litters.???
Hi people. Can someone share info on how many refills you can i get from a 5Lt scuba tank. The Airforce tank it 490cc , but all scuba tanks are in litters, so how do you convert CC to Lt.

Unless that 5Ltr can take a 300 BAR fill, you’re going to want a bigger tank….
There are differences in the system of measure of a cylinder in Europe and the USA.
Europe: Absolute interior volume in liters. You can think of this as how much water could be used to fill a tank (if this was used in the USA you could think of it as a gasonline tank)
USA: Gas in the tank at the tanks rated pressure. This is why when you convert 80cu FT to liters you get some bizarre number that doesn’t seem accurate based on what we know of American Cylinder markings. (80 cuft = 2265 liters)
A standard European 12L scuba tank at 200 bar is US equivalent 84.74 Cu FT at 3000 psi. With this set up, assuming the tank has a starting fill charge of 3000 psi., you would get approximately 10 fills on your AirForce bottle if you filled it to 2600 psi each time and topped it off when it ran down to 1600 psi (just used random numbers to give you an idea).

Thanks, that was very helpful. I leave in Greece and yes every one hear says tanks go by Litters. the 5Lt tank can go up to 4000psi and i also have an 80 litter tank that can go 4000+ but my compressor can go till 2600psi , after that its a bit dangerous and cant push more pressure.
