Seems Pyramid Air has beefed up it’s shipping practices
My Kodiak 25’s came in today, and couldn’t help but notice the new packing techniques. 8 tins came in a large box, with foam circles, and bubble pillows all around these foam cubes that totally encase the tins. All pellets look perfect as opposed to the last batch that was sent to me, which were terrible.

I always wanted a Rapid but could not swing the $$ and then all the $$ for a needed mods.
I bought the 410 to hold me over for awhile and now the Rapid fever has gone. My 410 is so accurate at 100 yds if I miss it is not because of the gun.
It needs no upgrades or mods. It is good to go.
Mike the only thing I know about Rapids is from what I read. Everything from the God Send of airguns, to spending even more to get the gun right. I think Cygnus has some stories for you. But I’m sure there are plenty of happy Rapid owners out there
But everything I read about AA is true, I did tons of research before taking the plunge, and don’t regret it one bit. What a beautiful rifle! And I could never achieve groups like that with my AF rifle, well I could, but not that consistently.
I strongly recommend you take another look a AA. I doubt you’ll be dissapointed, and for hundreds less than some Rapids, Daystates, ect. But hell, if I money was no object, I’d probably go for one of those to! lol

Riff, how do Kodiaks do in your 410? They are excellent in mine, every bit as good as the JSB heavies, and depending on the day, a tad better maybe.
Here’s a side by side comparison I did the other day @ 22yrds. 5 shots per circle. Not much difference. The paper on this plates sometimes tear and fold back a bit, so these holes may be a bit bigger than they should be
Mike, I have some 18 gr and they shoot as well or better than the regular JSB in both my .22s.
Thats all I shoot in the s410, they are unreal accurate in that one.
They look almost identical to the 15 gr, except the pocket is shallower.
Correct, My order has been backed up for a long time, so whenever they get anything in they fill back orders first.

Knife, those 25’s are in 200ct tins. You can see how big each tin is though because the pellets are so much bigger than the 200ct .22 Kodiak tins. It’s the JSB heavies that came in the 500ct tins.
On the website it says they are still out of stock till 09-01-2009. Maybe they got some in to fill backorders.
Thanks! That’s good to hear. I ask to make sure that the 18’s were in stock before I ordered. I ordered over the phone, so there was not a mix up. It is my first time ordering from AOA. But I hear this isn’t unusuall for them. 😥
.25’s in 500 count tins. WooHoo. Does it work out a little cheaper? I didn’t know Kodiaks came in 5oo count. Sounds good to me!

Knife it took me months on back order to get these Kodiak 31gr, you should have your JSB heavies way before that. I picked up 4 500ct tins a couple days ago at Mac 1. Every pellet was in perfect condition. Here’s one word for them.. FANTASTIC. It will be worth the wait. This is with my s410 though, I have yet to try them in my AF rifle. They are even a bit better than the 15.9 Jumbos, at least in my gun.
Yep! My last shippment left no room for complaint.
Now If I could just say the same for AOA. I ordered a tin of the new 18 gr. JB’s to try out WEEKS ago! 🙁
I wish I knew what that packing was called. I collect pieces at work
and bring home for target fabrication. They make some that is twice as dense but I havn’t been able to locate it from packing suplliers on the net.
I really don’t like dented pellets or pellet cans, so they will get most of my orders.
Yeah, the new foam inserts are pretty bombproof.
Now my issue is that those pieces of foam have too much potential for other possible future uses, so I just can’t toss them in the trash. 😆
If PA was REALLY REALLY smart, they’d take it a step further and include a free envelope and return shipping label/postage for folks to send ’em back to PA for re-use.

First though I need to get a decent carbon tank. Where were moving, it’s about 60-70 miles from a good fill location. 🙁
About the Rapid. You know, it would be hard pressed and expensive to get it to our AF levels. All that extra money to have a multi-shot. It does seem a little crazy!
