Q:

New Guy with a problem

First I would like to thank everyone for the knowledge I’ve gained over the last few months. With your help I picked up a talon ss, Hill pump, legend scope, WoKrest and a green laser. The rig is very accurate and great fun to shoot – until yesterday. As I was topping off the tank the Hill pressure gauge would not move. I lubed the pump and tightened all connections. Still nothing. That is when I noticed that air was leaking between the tank and the Air Force 1/4 inch adapter. In an attempt to stop the leak I put a o ring I had around the house on the tank prior screwing it on the 1/4 inch adapter.Started pumping and the the seal held until about 150 bars. The Talon still shoots with the air in the tank. Could the adapter go bad? Was there a rubber gasket that might have fallen out? Do you think there is something wrong with the tank or the top hat? I just don’t know enough about PCP guns to figure out the problem. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

no problem, just glad you back up and going 8)

Hey Blue Jay,

Thanks for the info. I went to Home Depot and picked some o rings. Not a perfect fit but it held to 200 bars. I might call air force to see if they have the correct size but in the mean time I’m back in business. Again thanks for the help.

there is an o ring that goes on the end of the adapter, it has a grove for it but it ‘s quite easy to loose, check to see if it’s there, if not take the adapter down to ace and find the appropriate one.

I seriously doubt there is anything other than that wrong.

also welcome to the mad house grab a beer and watch the sh** spew all over lol

better give the gun to me it sound dangerous and wouldnt want you getting hurt

i think there is a metal seal there at least there was on mine
