actually it can leak a third place too at the orings around the endplug…but this is pretty unlikely

the b50 can leak air 2 places, 1 at the fillport/check valve and then around the valve housing…which is unlikely if you havent messed with the gun.

the b50 relies on a brass particle filter to stop the checkvalve from shooting into the tank….unfortunatly the brass filter was not meant for this and starts to disintergrate, leaving brass particles everywhere.

solution is to unscrew the black male foster connector, if rifle still has pressure, do this slowly until air comes out slowly and let it sit till it stops hissing….then carefully open a bit more…there might still be a bit of pressure in there.

once you have the foster quick connect in hand, take a pointy thing like a allen wrench and push out the piston thats inside the quickfill….replace oring, and give it a dab of silicone…check QC for burrs and such

look inside the tank….if its full of brass pieces/dust you need to take the end plug out….and clean it…to do this release the barrel band and remove, take a pipe wrench that fits and unscrew the endplug…marks and scratches will be covered by the barrel band so dont worry too much

if filter is all broke up in pieces or there is a clear hole through it…you need to screw something else in that will keep the piston from falling into the tank, if filter is still ok…place a washer on top of it that has a hole small enough to stop piston, but big enough to let air through…lowes and home depot has these, while you have it appart i recommend you glue the filter in place so it cannot unscrew it self…or put a counter screw in there which you should drill hollow….and nylon screw is fine

your b50 should come with spare orings…these are for the most crap which is why you got spares to begin with….i recommend you exchange the orings with some better ones…sorry dot have the sizes…i bought an oring kit and have been digging into that every time not thinking about the sizes

put it all back together, remember to lube up the orings, cock the rifle and start filling

good luck….those b50 are nice guns….once you have one that is working…i got mine to do 40 shots with a spread of 9 fps from max to min at 18 fpe in .177 but ti took 2000 pellets to get it there, and shitloads of small mods

Big Ed specializes in B50/51. Mods Builds etc.
