Barrell question for Condor

I have a condor with 24″ Lothar Walther barrell (1//16 twist), what’s the mean 1//16? it that means the rifles will be rotated one circle every 16 “?

Different twist rates stabilize different types of bullets. (short versus long bullets and heavy / light bullets ) 😈
