Q:

.20 JSBs

Got my package from PA today- just some more .20 Kodiaks and two tins of .20 cal JSBs——they all were in good shape 😀 . The Jsbs are not very long – really hope they shoot well. I will blast some thru the chrono tomorrow- check the 15 yard accuracy….will report back for those .20calers

My set up is .20 cal 18″–the jsbs are 13.5 grains–in your case .22 think a 18″ will get you in the 850 range with 21 gr kodiaks – something like 33ftlbs—- the Curtisol moly spray that I use is a liquid spray — comes out of the can kinda foamy—once all intermixed well- it does leave a light coat of wetness- works really well…– yeah so i think youll be pleased with the 800s that the 18″ barrel will get you– ive heard and seen the new 18grain jsbs are really good as well.

JD, a couple of questions please.
What is the weight of those pellets.
The moly dry lube your using, I guess you prefer it to oiling your fingers.
Do you feel its better or equal to oiling.
I should be recieving my 18 in barrel from TT, for my stock SS/22, and was hoping It would pickup my speed with the 21 gr kodiaks. I’m shooting around 811 now with 14+gr pellets. I prefer the 21 gr Kodiaks. Their doing around 735fps now.

Just getting around to puttin some of my -new to me- .20cal JSBs thru my SS Talon-18″. Filled the tank to 2900 psi turned my power wheel to 7.5-cleaned my chronys lenses-brand new rayovac 9v and all. Had 4 1″ target spots on the box they were delivered in set up at 15 yards– very calm -sunny and dry day here in GA. Curtisol -spray moly lube applied yesterday to a hand selected 40 of my 1000 perfect jsbs. Counted off 20 ovem- lay prone proped with my two favorite shooting pillows-shooting off my bi-pod. 20 shots- shot #1 822–shot #20 911—the high and the low for the string were identical to that –high 911 low 822–the spread is slight high but I can live with that because velocity rose very quickly to 900 fps-only the first 7 shots were under 900fps—13 shots between 900 and 911 fps— that equaled very tight goups —the next 20–Im gonna fill to– 3000 psi and set the pw to 10 –expecting to see 940-950s— will post with pics later…

JSBs tend to shoot very well in most anything. They’re short, but I don’t think you can over-stabilize them.

Shot a little tweety with one today.
