30 cal or 308 cal
My question? R 7.62mm cal and .30 cal the same diameter bullet and barrel.? chambers being different.
Soooooooo is a .308 cal 8 thousandths larger than 7.62/.30 cal bullet and
barrel? ❓ I think the answer is no?
Will a .30 cal bullet fit all 3 cartridge cases?

.30 cal is a barrel drilled and reamed to 0.300″ diameter and then rifled to a depth of 0.004″ which gives the barrel a 0.308″ dimension across the grooves.
So the caliber is .30 and uses the 0.308″ bullet for a proper fit.

.308 is also known as 7.62×51. I don’t believe it’s .008 wider, but others who know more about it than I do can elaborate.
Edit: whoops, I did a quick ‘net check, and the 308 is indeed .308 wide, so lets just assume I don’t know what the hell I’m talking about on this subject. 😆

Voltar_1 ? Is a 308 drop in barrel available for the condor? Meaning just swap barrels no mods required. Stock condor .308 barrel? 😯
