Q:

25 caliber question, breach side too thin?

I’m having Tim at Mac1 supply me a 25 caliber barrel (24″) AND barrel bushing.

It’s going to be a LW barrel with his usual tweaks…crown and polished breach.

So, a question came up about getting a larger breach seal so that the barrel isn’t cut down too thin. You guys know what I’m talking about right 🙂

You guys see any problems with the breach side of the barrel being too thin for the stock breach? Please edumacate me on this.

I left a message with Mike at Mac1 to supply me with a larger breach for my TalonSS.

Thanks in advance.

My .25 setup has a larger OD on the barrel as well. It uses a large ID breach block and a larger OD tophat. Its worked well so far.

Like I’ve said, its been done before. Check this out:

No need to panic 😉

Just changed my order. LW 25 cal barrels are not in stock yet. The assistant at Mac1 is suppose to relay my order for a bigger i.d. breech.

quote sawtime:

The one I got off Leemak came with a larger i.d. breech
Maybe Tim will as well ?

Had the same question awhile back, the answer is: No Problema!!

I did the barrel myself and it shoots quite good. No problem with the barrel being too thin ❗ 😀
