Q:

AirHog’s new CF Reg tank for Talon/Condor

This should be interesting…shot count/ string. Here is a link from the Yellow:

The tank looks a little bulky …may need ultra high mounts for the scope or something.

IMHO, I’m not sure I’d like to rest my face on 4500 psi tank… especially if it’s been sitting in a hot car for an hour or two 😉

The USFT is one sweet rifle….hmmm….just imagine when that truck arrives! Bet you’ll be there waiting. Unfortunately it could take months!! 🙁 and if you call to inquire about it….it could take even longer!! lol.

I hate waiting too…..4 weeks seems like forever…[/quote]

I can tell ya first hand about that one, been there when a call came in.
Just let him do his thing, it may take a while but your gonna get a product from a man who loves his work and takes pride in it.

Thanks, …I didn’t realize you guys kicked this horse so thoroughly already. That sure is a consistent and long shot string though! This tank has merits…if one can fill it.

On a smaller and less powerful scale, it’s this principle of consistency and accuracy that I adhere to….I’m waiting..in the 4th week now for my MK 1 LD to be delivered and that day can’t come soon enough. 😀

3,200psi will give you more shots than an AF tank
without having to deal with the power curve….That is pretty
much the purpose of using a regulator….You can’t fill the CF
tanks to 4,500psi with a 88cu ft 4,500psi tank anyway…You
would have to fill directly from the compressor to get the CF
tank up to 4,500psi….Each fill drops in the CF tank by about
100psi when filling from the 88cu ft tank…..The first fill gets the CF to about 4,300psi….@
4,000psi the Airhog HPA system delivers about 50 full
power shots….Shooting 18.1 JSB’s at 980fps.
The CF tank is a little smaller than my JDSairman tank which is 48cu in…
I would guess it is about 35-40 cu in./573-655cc and yes larger diameter
than the AF tanks.
Should be enough factual info here to keep you busy and answer
most questions.

I don’t know how many fills you would get from a 88cf tank 4500psi to the air hog cf on board model, whats the volume on the tank

SAW

I don’t know the volume (not posted yet) but guessing, it looks to be about the size of the “Pigmee” tank which is 9.5 cu ft.

The prob. is basically ya need a 4500psi compressor to go with it to take full advantage. 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8)

…or a larger CF 4500 tank and a local place to fill it. Either way it gets expensive. The AF tank alone is $375…for another buck and a quarter one can get a new Marauder or something.

This has been discussed here. Yes, it would be very awkward to me using that large of a bottle. It will deliver tons of consistent shots though.
