Q:

barrel questions

Hi guys, I have a few more questions, but about barrels this time. I have a 24″ barrel but have been thinking about going with an 18″ or 12″. I know there is power loss with the shorter barrels. How much power is lost from a 24 to an 18? Is it day and night different? With the 18, does the noise level reduced also? And with the 12″, how much of the barrel actually sticks out of the condor’s body? Would I need to get a new endcap if I changed from the 24 to either an 18 or 12? Final question, which lenght do you guys prefer?

The 18″ will be a little louder than the 24″, you might lose 50-70 fps in velocity. The 12″ is still about 6″ inside of the frame and would be semi quiet for that reason. You’ll lose a bit more velocity going to 12″. The guns can be tuned to shoot about as fast with a 12″ barrel provided you don’t mind wasting some air.

If you’re going to carry the gun around for hunting go with a 12″ or 18″. If you do more shooting sitting at a bench go with the 24″.
