Q:

Transition ring

Whipped out a transition piece for my GTBJ shroud last night.
Scott, what do ya think ?

Super easy mod, 3/4″ pvc connector, put that on a 1″ drum sander deal-a-bob, threw it in the drill press and sanded to shape.
Ya gotta trim the ridge inside the connector, the I.D. is abit large, used some tape, however I think I will glue it on the shroud

Wow Saw, that looks quite nice.

It gives the appearance that the shroud was originally part of the rifle, pretty slick.

Hey guys if ya try it, I spun the thing at 2180 rmp’s.
Started with 60 grit and worked my way down to 220.
I noticed it can get hot and melt the plastic, take it easy 8) 8)
Actually I took a sanding block to the bottom to clean it up a bit.

Nice Saw… and do you have Night Vision?

Well hell, you sure can’t beet that with a stick 😛

looks good and much easer than doing it out of aluminum on the lathe, lighter as well.

I have a couple of them on the garage, I’ll try and turn one to see how it comes out.
