first shot count produced

This is the first shot count produced on my 24″ condor. I had the power wheel set on 4 with a 2800 psi fill, I used 28.4 ej’s

Thanks. I think the crony is working fine. I fired a different gun this am under different lighting, etc. (see third shot string posted under condor specific). I will set up for another string with the condor early next week. Thanks again guys.

X2 what Roc said about being careful not to crush the stem. Also when your done tinkering use a mild loc-tite on the grub screws. Post up your new numbers.

Shots 26 and on are hitting speed of sound which gives you zero accuracy, unless you want FPE.

Looks like you’re about to get the bell curve (kind of) if you kept on shooting, the top of the bell was shot 37 and 38.

I’d keep the PW at 4-1 for now but reduce the TH adjustment till your first few shots are around 900 – 950fps and try for the bell curve, Sweet Spot. You can do this by playing with the PW. Once you’ve found the bell curve and a low spread then adjust the TH for the MV.

Adjust the TH with a feeler gauge, the kind you use for spark plugs and don’t tighten the grub screws too tight or you’ll crush the valve stems like I did and had to order new ones.

Have fun and have lots of ammo for your testing.

😆 I thought about it some more and came to the same conclusion, but, the readings are not too far off since your ending pressure was about 1000 psi lower after 50 shots.

I’ll wager that when you get the lighting right you’ll be just around 1000fps.

What is you top hat set at? Around 0.075″-0.085″?

A 300fps extreme spread sound like a lot to me. Might be an explenation for the vertical stringing you get. I would aim for a 60fps spread prefrebly less.

My advice would be back down you power wheel. Your velocity might drop of somewhat but you still got plenty left.

Oh wow…Yea I heard something about flourescent lighting being a
no no….Things should look better in the sun light or in Incandescent lighting…

😯 You got some serious power going there! 1300+fps with 28.4 grain pellets… Damn.

Let’s see quick calculation, that’s 96FPE!

If this is correct… (velocity in fps squared x pellet weight in grains)/(540240) and i’m not so sure after that number above…

What was the ending tank pressure after the 45 rounds?
