.25 Barrel L/W or HW
Is there any real difference between these two brand of barrels? Read on another forum that the HW was 40-50 fps quicker due to a smoother bore, sounds almost to good to be true? Tried a search but came up empty on this.

You can get HW barrels from Mac1.
LW barrels come from LW in Georgia. Can get Polygonal or regular in the LW – Poly barrels are supposed to be a little faster because there is less friction is the theory.
I’ve only ever had LW barrels in my Talons and they are very accurate. HW barrels are used in the USFT in LD and they are accurate too.
Barrel will smooth out a bit with use so I wouldn’t let that hold you back if its even true.
Benefit of getting a HW barrel from mac1 is that he can machine it too. If you get one from LW it will be a blank and need machining by someone else.
