Exactly…. Replacing the seal is a no brainer… you’ll see when you get yours. I just didnt close that latch properly and it went POP!… and the bottom seal flew out.
Instead of using a regular o-ring they use a seal with a taper one side and slat edge the other. Rob meant gone as in fly away and never find, they used to only be available in the entire seal kits for $15 which made it hurt even more.

Make sure you close the hatch on it good before firing or the bottom seal will be gone forever… dont ask how I know… 😳
When you say “gone forever” do you mean irreplaceable?

Great little guns. I dont use mine for any type of competition, but love to shoot carpenter bees with it. Took a starling at 30 yards with it once as well. I had a scope on mine for a short time, but really just didnt do well with it.

I had one – great little gun. I sold it, decided I wanted another one and the prices had jumped $100 so that was me out of the running.
Congrats, let us know how it shoots. Ive been sniping hornets with the .20 cal all afternoon. Doin that with a pistol would be my idea of serious fun.
Oh yeah, lots of fun. I use the P17 to shoot yellowjackets. When they’re all gone I shoot the nest down. Even got some in the air! The cicadas have become fun rifle targets as of late also.
