Q:

Does anyone have the answer to this

question: What is the regulated output pressure in a “self regulated” BSA Scorpion rifle. Fill pressure is 232 bar, but I am interested in finding out what the regulator puts out. BSA doesn’t seem to answer any emails…sounds like they might fancy a nice kick in their yarbles, that is if they got a pair 😆

EDIT: Just found out that “Self Regulated”, means just that! There is no Regulator in a BSA Scorpion. “Oh Magoo, you’ve done it again” 😳

Shoot until your velocity starts going down which is the point the pressure in the tank is below the output pressure of the regulator and then refil noting on your tanks gauge the pressure where the guns valve opens.

Probably proprietary information.
@ 2,200psi regulated output I am shooting JSB 18.1gr at 1,050fps…….
@ 2,000psi regulated output I am shooting JSB 18.1gr at 895FPS…
@ 2,000psi regulated output I am shooting JSB 15.9gr at 935FPS
My new gun shoots JSB 15.9gr at 850FPS with a 1,500 psi fill….
Not sure if any of this helps but it is all I got….Might give you some idea..
