Ruger mk3 need assembly help
took my ruger appart because it was cruchy and filthy inside…guess i should have take pictures as i went along….
anyhow…i cant figure out how to get it back together again….youtube reveals tons of fieldstrips….but i need to know hot the trigger component go in
especially i need to know how the spring the screwdrive is pointing at is supposed to fit….

Rugers own exploded diagram….is very nice…but it has a different spring than in the gun….does not tell which side the spring belong on…if it should over or under the cross pin……for simplicity i like my glock so much better 100 times easier to take apart and mess with
Numrich also has some good exploded views of all kinds of guns. I have used them for a lot of my rebuilds. And some Jesus pins that got away! 🙄
yeah they are not exactly logical imho….but they are sweet shooters
i gonna take that weppage that YN linked to and get it printed somehow, cause thats how the manual should be !

I went thru this exact same nightmare with my MarkII. Only in my case it was a freind who disassembled it when I lent it to him. I got it back in a bag with a sorry-ass apology. I finally paid a gunsmith to put it back together, and made lots of drawings as he went along. Ive never needed to disassemble it though.

sear was in the right way….spring was not….finally got the gun put together….omg this gun has about 200% more small parts and crap any of my other guns….of course you dont need to take it appart completely everytime you clean it….but after about 2500 rnds trigger parts where in need of cleaning….there was so much sandy crud in there
it seems to work now…..just need to try fire it better wait for the range with that
check out the picture in(step 7) from the (YN) site: it looks like you put that trigger piece in upside down.

Here’s something you may find interesting. I got this when I asked a guy about cleaning the bolt in my blaser, it’s almost impossible to take apart. I asked if he could give step by step instructions, he said never take it apart, and clean it like his friends did their handguns for best results.
with my 1911 .45 auto i noticed that some of the veteran expert shooters had an unusual method of cleaning and lubricating their pistols.
1. they would take the wood grips off of their 1911’s
2. they would submerge the entire pistol in a bucket of karosene
3. after a 24 hour soak they would remove the pistol and use a compressed air hose to dry it as good a possible
4. then they would soak the entire pistol in a bucket of lubricant
5. finally they would blow dry it one more time to get rid of the excess lubricant and it was ready to shoot
these guys did this for years and won a lot of matches. end of story.
