Q:

Some old eye candy

Here is something some of ya’ll may have seen, it was my grandfathers,

It is a Fabrique Nationale made 30-06. Sold by sears with the unsightly JC Higgins stamp, It has a 98 mauser action and a 22 inch chromed lined barrel from high standard. Its a good rifle and has seen some action and 3 generations.

Enjoy!!

GREAT BUY GTBJ!

Those Stevens arms rifles are super accurate. My dad had 2 of them when I was growing up.

Shot a lot of gophers with one of those.

I have a Rossi model 62SA as well. My dad had the winchester version.

The 62SA pump gun as shown will cycle any .22 rimfire round. It’s accurate and its trigger is pretty nice. I recommend one if you can find it.

The original is the Winchester 62 and I believe Taurus still makes (or has recently stopped production) on a 62 clone as well. That’s got to tell you something about the design.

That pump is pretty cool, I am half-assed looking for an old bolt action .22 lr they are dead accurate, I have a .22 semi-auto marlin, they are decent rifles, but I want a bolt for the sub-sonic ammo

you mean something along these lines?

got it off of craigs list when I live up in Wa. for $25 and it will hit beer can at 120 yards all day long 8)

here is some interesting reading on Stevens Arms

Don’t know about the bolt, but the semi auto remington 527 (I think that’s the model) .22lr sucks. Accuracy is ok, but trigger is as bad as any I’ve ever seen. I can’t imagine the bolt being better.

will do.

I have the Marlin 60 too. It’s been a good one for $99. I can say to avoid the Mossberg .22s like the plague.

Cool. Thanks for sharing the pics.

Here are a couple of bad photos of some of my older favorites.
