hill pump drypac media
what does hill use for their drypac media, i would like to buy it in bulk from someone other than aoa, i should be able to get it cheaper

Silica is 3 lbs for about $15 on ebay if you go that route.
trust me i want to use silica but most places want you to buy 5 gallons or more, the stuff What sugested is 12 bucks for a pound and lab grade, (it should make my gun shoot faster) 😆 and you can bake it sounds great to me, also i think some kitty litter is pure silica(i have to do more recerse) also i live in a large city any ideas on local sources for silica?
Why don’t you just get some silica. Bake it when you need to and reuse it. It’s cheap.
The Hill stuff says “do not bake”.
So I don’t know if that is to sell more or…….
what, i like that stuff, i know that the indicating stuff is toxic, and i have kids but i was also wondering if hill stuff was slica because than i could bake it.
This out of my area of expertice but this stuff looks good.

Choose carefully. Silica and many of the other common ones are slow to absorb the water. In some cases, very little useful surface areas and already saturated material on that surface slow this down even more.
The air is only in the filter a very shot time and you need to trap as much as possible in that time. A larger filter housing (more material) helps, but is not the solution to all ills.
Anything is better than nothng of course, but some are much better than others if you’re in a hurry.
