I would bet the checkered area was taped over, then trimmed with a razor along the edges.
After paint, peel tape.
Thats how I did it once, but my paint didnt look that nice.
Thanks Riff… That PF25 seems a bit long, and truth be told, I would have preferred the PF18 if I had to do it over, but the 25 really balances well. The can on the end makes it a bit long, but handling and accuracy is top notch. Quite the effective can as well. Much more quiet than my Hornet, even though the PF is shooting around 5fpe more than the Hornet.
CDN… That pain job was by a rather odd fellow that used to frequent the forums called Predator427. Really was a nice guy and does amazing work. I havent seen him around in a bit though…
yeah that hornet has a cool paint job, how’d you do that?

I was sooo close to buying one of those, but my left nut didnt sell fast enough.
I decided to get a new Marauder instead.
I had a chance to shoot Ray Apelles Marauder at the last field target competition.
Plus he was able to shoot all day on one fill shooting 800+- psi
I havent really looked at the MDR, but all reports show that they are nice guns. Look a bit to me like the older Logun Solo, which was a pretty popular gun. Not saying it is a clone or anything, to my eye, it just favors it a bit.
With your knowledge of AGs I’ll take your word for it.

Yea I checked out a few review on the hornet which were mixed.

Thanks gents.
LMTSS…. I had always heard about how good the Hornets were but I was not quite satisfied with mine for some time. Seemed to always have something going on with it.
Finally got tired of screwing around with it and sent to AofA and they installed a new reg and a full size tube in it since it had a carbine tube. Been perfect ever since and I now see what folks have been bragging about all this time. Quite anemic on shot count, but aside from that, I really like it.
I came this () close to getting a Hornet from the yellow.
Sweet, I love the paint job on the BSA! Nice collection, no doubt!
F&D…. a few 😉
ATP… The Falcon is easily one of my most accurate guns. Thing will split hairs. I’ve had a bit of trouble with the Hornet, but I got it completely rebuilt and it’s now doing GREAT…
The HW97 has been tuned by me. I’ve got a few more small items I’d like to get for it then it’s done.
I’ll take it!
DAMN!
How many you have in your collection Rob?

Rob, is the Falcon more accurate than the AA4xx? Other than the skeleton part, they look so similar.
Oh yeah, I remember Predator. How can anyone forget the camo job on his Rapid. In fact, I have yet to see a better design anywhere. One talented fella. Wonder how he is doing now.
