Q:

regulator

has anyone fitted a regulator to a gunpower stealth or talon? just wondered if it is possible and if it would help the gun in accuracy and consistency?

Looking around the net I found some AirForce specific accessories at:

http://www.aliexpress.com/store/534535 and, what appears to be a regulator at:

http://www.aliexpress.com/store/product/Constant-pressure-valve-Pcp-Airforce-condor-High-pressure-valve/534535_1279711124.html

There are also AirForce parts available form:

The English is often garbled but the items they produce look good and I stress LOOK! Does anyone know how good these Chinese made items are and perform?

The standard airforce tank has a 250bar fill pressure (at least mine does). I fill between 220 and 230 bar so I can use a 300bar scuba tank a bit more efficiently. But that gives me around 60 to 70 shots.
Ewoodie is running the reg in .22 and gets around a 100 shots I think.

Great to hear Marc! Got the 4500 psi tank, and it does a fine job!

To date the venting is working as it should! Some more long term testing is due.

Ah yes, I remember that thread Marc! In fact, I responded twice in it. How did the intank venting work out?

I have been talking a couple of people about a carbon tank and a 4500in-3000 out for a .257 Dyotat gun.

Would love to mount a 4500 tank front and rear for a good shot string!

this is the site i found looks good i think?

Hi,

I can read the picture just fine. Hope the surgery works out for you! Good luck!

I’m running a regulator of a design of a friend and me. It’s an in bottle reg with vented spring stack.

I’ve posted about it earlier in this threads

Cheers,

Marc

Thanks for posting your results Maarc! I cn’t read it, but I don’t know if it is the screen i’m on, your pic or my eyes. (I’m getting eye surgery Thursday).

Are you running the Altros? and happy with the results?

That’s some fine shooting I must say!

Have some more long term results of the regulator.
A shot string with several different periods in between shots to check for internal leackage.

4 groups shot with the .25 and regulated bottle. Lower left is a 50m (55yard) group, rest are 100m (110yards).

Next step in testing is the .22

Your best off listening to fusions post, he has tried and tested with a 12inch barrel and I have not.

Its amazing what the 24inch barrel can do. I found that I need bewteen 500-600psi to get below 12FPE with a 21g pellet.

thanks guys for the posts i didn’t think anyone else had guns under 12foot pounds here i thought it was all over as its an American site this is cool. i just tested my gun first time since i got the gun and it was over was sitting at 17flb oops! well i ended up buying a DVD from ebay on how to tune and detune and maintain my gunpower stealth and ended up taking the gun to bits then found the problem there was a bush in there that was beefing up the tension on the spring took it out and put in a much thinner one now the gun sits about 10.5-11.5flb and that’s with 21.4grain pellets so am all good now

thanks mark
