UPS Delivered a Marauder

Well I got my marauder today (.22)

In a word Wow, very quiet! More so than my s410.

Shipping box showed signs of side loading (bending marks seen in the box) but the rifle was fine and the barrel band looked straight

Spent some time cleaning the barrel, it took a lot of patches. My friend Gene figured out how th remove the shroud very quickly.

It likes CP’s (14.5gr) with a 2500 psi fill it spits them out mid to high 800’s with 2 shots going over 900, after 30 shots it needs to be refilled. The 215 cc tank was down to 1700

It kind of likes Beeman FTS, but not as well as the CP’s

Doesn’t care for:

JSB exact (16gr)
Kodiak (21gr.)
Crow Magnum (18gr) – Nothing I have ever likes this pellet.

More pellet testing is needed, …

Mistakes I made:

I ordered custom two-piece High drooped rings (30 minutes) from Tim at mac one. I did this so I could zero the gun without having to use up most of my vertical elevation. I did this for a few reasons one was to keep the cross hairs closer to optical center.

The rings are great! (thanks Tim M), but I think I could of gotten by with medium rings. I will use them for now then order a set medium next time. If the medium rings work out, I will move the high ones to my Talon SS so I can keep the crosshairs closer to optical center.

I need at least two more clips.

I’m going to need more Crosman Premier pellets. I am happy that it likes them, because I can get them for cheap in the 500ct tin.

That is good because I think I am going to have a lot of fun both shooting and tuning.
