Ideas for Walt’s .25 barrel giveaway contest
Well It looks like Walt has just about wrapped up the group .25 barrel project so I thought I’d throw out a few Ideas to get things started on the youth barrel give away contest.
First we need to decide what age group will be eligible. Im 42 and I still feel pretty young most days ( just kidding) 😆 Also a verification of age. Their has been some real rascals infiltrate this site lately.
As for the actual competition they must own a A.F. gun and be old enough to shoulder it. Then you could have a target shooting contest at a set yardage, say 50yrds or so. Have them post pics of their targets signed by two senior witnesses (family members) or other authority figures.
Also they could write an essay describing the design strengths and weaknesses of the A.F. guns and what new modification they would like done to their rifle and how it could be done, and or write about the future potential of pcp weaponry in hunting ,military (I’ve said to much already) ect…..
The target competition would speak for its self but, the essays would require a panel of judges like maybe the moderators and Walt. Also the essays would require a set time and day to post so they would’nt be tempted to key off one anothers thoughts and ideas.
Thats just a few things to bounce off you guys. If anyone wants to add to,change something or has some different ideas, Throw them up and we’ll get this thing started 🙂

Perhaps a community/public service?
How about some kind of test or quiz on gun safety, animal tracks, airforce guns, hunting, all of the above or something similar?

I live in the land of marijuana and didn’t do half, well, 3/4, uh, well not as much shit as you all.
Back to the topic. I’ve thought of essays but it’s just not something too kosher on a shooting site, you know? A cross continental target shoot is fun but difficult to be sure is up to snuff on the honor system. But something I’m interested in. I could stamp the targets and send them out to qualified shooters and then ask for them back so they can’t redo it until they get a good target… but distance and shooting conditions, hell, no way to really monitor that.
I would have said the cutoff age should be 16, but there may not be enough kids. I’ve never looked at our demograhics. Mods? Could use some info.
I think we need to do a general post and ask for applicants so we have an idea how many kids we got.

Me and Lang used to run around with Brocock 6 shot air pistols. You had to dig those rounds out 😯
Souped-up airsoft guns were best. I cracked my other brother’s tooth with a pistol-shot, and with an AK47 I gashed a mate’s scalp and put another through his lip with a burst from about ten feet when we came around a corner at each other. His burst missed. 😆

When I was a kid, the red ryder was our paint ball / air soft gun. We had some all out wars with them, and for grenades we would take firecrackers dip them in glue and then set them in a bowl of BB’b to dry. It was all fun until my older cousin got his first crossman pump rifle. that thing hurt.
Critter is about the only one I can think of.. Lama of course, but you don’t really think of him being a Kid what with his wise ass comments and stuff (and at 18 I don’t suppose he is a kid anymore…!!)
I vote the last barrel to be used as the ‘Tag Hammer’
Any scumbag we find in here trying to do naughty stuff gets a visit and gets the barrel round their noggin’ 😈

There really aren’t many young ones here. Critter and GJ are the only ones I can think of. All of the ones that do come probably get kicked off by their parents after their parents read a few posts. 😛
I say we give them all knives, put them in an arena, and the one who comes out alive gets the barrel.
Put them in the arena with red ryder bb guns and whoever can still see the barrel wins!
