Q:

.25 Goodness!

For those interested, The group buy project started by Walt in Haw. has come to frication. Several of us have received the .25 bbl’s that Walt machined for us. And a fine job he did!

I am testing it now, and awaiting a batch of 7 ring slugs from Jerry to finish out the test.

So far, all I can say is WooHoo! This thing shoots! 😀

Here is a link to the post. The last few pages show some of the results we are getting.

Now you tell me! 🙄

Yep! Used the bolster of a pocket Knife. It didn’t take long to figure that one out. 😆

Oh, get yourself a thimble or lucky coin to help load the long slugs! I hear sore thumbs can be a byproduct…

Thank You Jerry!

I am looking forward to it. I’ll get the bottle topped off this week.

Folks, I will give the results exactly as I see them. That is the only way it counts for anything. I will try to list everything that pertains to the findings.

Sounds like a dirty Job but somebody has to do it! 😈 😉

Mike,

The 7 rings shipped today and you should have them in 2-3 days. There are some 9 rings included as well. Both are of the Gen 3 design which those with a sharp eye know has a slightly different nose design.

The 7 rings are my favorite of these slugs but the 9 rings are excellent at the 50 yard mark as far as absolute energy goes.

I think the 7s are 71.6gr and the 9s about 88gr but they are labled so you will know for sure. You should have enough to actually see if you get a power curve with your gun. I’m sure folks will be interested in any numbers you develop as well as the valve, hammer and wheel settings you are using.

I just mailed the slugs a couple hours ago and I’m already looking forward to your post on the results!
