air compressor
i was reading pyramydair blog and bb said something about a electric compressor for under 500 dollors, that would be out soon. does any one know what company is working on it? because i am intrested if it is well constructed. didn’t fx have something sumular

do you have an air filter on these compressors to collectt moisture? do you need oil changes? i saw some bigbore shooting on PA and they were using a gasoline powered one. i want to know how much refill can a tank of gas get and how easy is it to transport. is it very heavy, bulky, loud, difficult to maintain?
I have a tank I fill . And the compressor comes with a water trap . Mine is set at 3250 psi . Read the specs on it or call it looks like it can be set to go 4500 psi . When I decided to get a compressor I did not think I would need the extra expense of a 4500 tank so I went this way . It is not only the fee for filling the tank you have to figure in . It is the cost of travel and time spent getting it there as well . For me the cost of gas alone and the fill charge figured in and the compressor would be paid for in 52 fills . I have had it about 10 months now and I am on fill number 49 and I have not been useing my big bores as much as I would like to . And it is so nice to beable to walk out in the garage and fire it up on the spot and know for sure I have a full fill of 3250 in my 80 cf tank . Life is hard why make it harder .Marvin

That is a sweet deal..Putting is on rollers is a nice touch…I think
you would find it more efficient if you would get a bottle so you could
just do one long run instead of cranking up to fill the gun tank
every time….That is unless you already have a SCUBA or SCBA
tank……
What is the PSI rating???
You might also think about a water trap..These thing make a lot of
water and you don’t want that in your gun…
All I can say is, I get a refill whenever I want and that is priceless….Well over 8,000 shots and I haven’t broken a sweat. If you are going to shoot a few times a week or month I would say it is not worth it but I shoot every day….
I’m really sold on the idea of a compressor. Do you guys really get your money’s worth from it? I get a refill about 1x per month for $10.

Depends on the compressor….If you’re talking about the compressor
above then, it would take many hrs because you have to let it cool
down after about 5 min of pumping….The faster a compressor can fill
an 88cu in tank, the more expensive it is…I have a compressor
that could do it in about an hr…It puts out about 2.0 cfm and can fill
to 5,000psi….Best accessory I ever bought for this hobby….$2k

I always thought of getting a compressor. How long does it take to fill a regular sized scuba tank. 88 cf to 3000 psi? I heard it can take an hour…is this true?
That compressor was discontinued years ago…I just sold one about 2 months ago….Used it sold for $800.00 plus shipping…I think it sold for $1,200.00 new but don’t remember…
that is what i was thinking of but i know bb was talking about something elce but for 500 bucks it can not be to far from that design for that kinda money. also can you still get that compressor?

The one I have is gas . E – mail or call Marge at Pro tech and she can answer all your question . If you click on this site and go to the paintball 3.5 cfm unit and read most of your questions will be answered and she can fill you in on the recomended service .I have been filling the gas tank after every 5 tank fills . The 80 c.f. tank has about 2100 psi when i refill to 3250 and there is always enought gas in the tank for at least 1 or 2 more fills .Marvin
