ok need help on rimfire forum! lol
I got a thread started that a condor is better for squirrel hunting than a rimfire and the flames came up! LOL
How about some pictures of the condor to fuel the fire! I am not good with pictures. its rimfirecentral and the air rifle forum. I am sure some of you guys post both too. 😆

Just because we find airguns cool it really works against us to try and convince those that have no interest in toy guns that they are SOOOOO COOOOOL!
It works best this way….. when someone shows ‘interest’ then that is the time to show him why you like them so much. If the guy is turning it into some kinda competition and you are sucked into it ….. you lose! forget it
People find and search out their own hobbies interests and there is no use trying to convince anyone of anything. Let happen naturally or not at all!
Walter….
I do not get the groups some get here yet. I am a pcp newbie and I am hooked. I am stretching my shooting every time I go. I am amazed what I can do with an air rifle that I thought was a pipe dream months ago. When the first bird I shot at 35 yards away dropped and feathers flew I forgot I was shooting an air gun! I honestly could not beleive it. Does everything have to come down to prove it or its not worth it? OK i should get rid of my explorer becasue your saturn does the same job (get me to work) that my truck does and its cheaper and uses less gas? I know I am preeching the the chior . I really thank you guys for opening my eyes and I was trying to open some more eyes to how friggin cool these guns are.
Ive shot a few GS with the .25 condor past 100yards.
The one that sticks out in my memory was on a fallen tree with the sun behind him. Placed the 2nd mil on his forehead, and the shot hit him just under the chin, and exited between his shoulders.
A large puff of dust flew off his body, easily seen by the backlight from the sun.
He stiffened up, rolled off the branch and landed flat on his back. Kicked a few times and that was it. The .25 kodiak is a superb hunk of lead.
Lasered 109 yards the next day when I remembered to take the rangefinder along.
Would I claim it did a better job than a good rimfire? Hell no, Ive shot thousands of GS and gophers with every rimfire round that currently exists.
Would I claim it was one of the most satisfying shots Ive ever made? Hell yea!! Thats why I shoot airguns. It takes skill to kill with em.
I’ve won my share of NRA Smallbore rifle matches. All with .22LR. These days the matches in Hawaii are all shot with air rifles, I suspect mostly to avoid having to join the ROTC. In my day, there was no way any high school or junior high kid could afford the rifles, ammo, and equipment to shoot, so the ROTC supplied all of it but in return you had to take a minimum curriculum in the ROTC program and participate in parades, military training, etc.
I have shot air rifles and .22LR my entire life and I see no accuracy difference between the two venues in the medium to short ranges using the best rifles in each side. In the longer ranges (over 50 yds) and in high winds, the heavier bullet will always win.

or you could show them this post and pics were my RAPID .25 shot a Ground squirrel at 110 yrds with an EASY pass through. Or if you look at one of the pics of a GS shot at 62 yrds i think….IT pulled out his guts through his rib cage. Take a look:

I too have a tricked out custom 10-22 and my airguns frequently outshoot my custom Ruger 10/22 at 50 yrds. But obviously the .22 lr bullets are way more efficient than any pellet.
Well said!

Put your money where your mouth is!
Take and shoot some groups, measure them up and post that. See if they can beat you. And if it is you that gets beat then so be it 🙂
I don’t shoot air to replace powder I do it because I want to!
Now the kicker is that when out squirrel hunting, If I run across a Wild Pig, It’s just the ticket! 😀
This is dialed down to keep her under the speed of sound for the suppressor. She WILL so more!

My condor looks cooler than a 10/22. 😀

I read your post on that forum…………I can’t say that I disagree with any of their arguments. Seems like they are all stuck on the “I’d never pay $800 for an airgun mentality”.
Considering the low entry cost of a Ruger 10/22, the relative low cost of ammo, and how brutally fucking accurate rimfire ammo is at much longer distances compared with pellets…really, what kind of answers were you expecting from that crowd?
With the right setup, our guns can operate in near silence. That’s about the only plus I see to support your claim.
Some of the groups I posted were under .5″ at 100 yards. One was 5 at 55 that measured .141″ ctc. Shot by Yrrah of course.
You won’t change what they’ve worked so hard to believe. May as well quit now. 🙄
Exactly what I said! haha… 😆
I once spoke to firearm guys how airguns could be competitive against rimfire in benchrest. Nobody believed me so they asked for proof. I went through the trouble of finding pictures of great groups with airguns and NOBODY had a SINGLE thing to say afterwards.

I was on the rimfire website way before this one. I read the claims over here and said you guys were nuts too. I would bounce over here once in a while because there was less activity on the rimfire site for airguns. I posted in the airgun section of the rimfire forum . once I bought the condor and shot it I was hooked. After some help from alot of people here I started stretching my limits and pre concieved notions. This site opened my eyes to a new world. The people on this site have been so helpful I cannot thank them enough. I bought a talon ss after the condor. I am now looking to buy a big bore. who would have firggin known you could kill a buffalo with an airgun? Those that want to expand thier knowledge and mind will find there way over here. No gun is perfect for all tasks but my airguns have filled a spot that I really enjoy as an almost 50 year old kid with serious pellet guns. I just said the other day I would have eaten alot more frogs legs with a tolon ss when I was 12! LOL
