Here is a 65yd target I practiced Nygord’s technique on this morning and
a 25yd 10 shot group..I used my BSA Super Ten and JSB 15.9gr.
Everything is shot from a bench but not in a
gun rest. The rifle is resting on a rubber coated, metal support in
front and a foam pad in the rear…I start the shot with the cross hairs
2 mildots low. As I start to raise the crosshairs (without trying to stop on
the 10 circle) I apply pressure and the shot seems to release on it’s
own inside the 10 circle. When I try to stop in the 10 circle and
release the shot my targets start looking like #7 & 8.
I was shooting pine cones at 73yds and at the end I was aiming at
the stems knocking them out of the tree with one shot at times….I
even used the same technique to zero the scope on Target #2…
Targets #1, 3, 4, & 5 had flyers from definte early releases. I was trying to
find the right timing…Targets #7 & 8 I found myself thinking way
too much and trying to place the shots….
Target #9 was free hand….
Not all of the targets have the same amount of shots….I think #6 had 4.
