Q:

I need some help from the group here in finding some scope caps that will fit my new Nikko 10-50×60 scope. Also would like to have a sunshade.

Hi Tom:

I’m happy to hear you’re satisfied with your purchase. The pair of flip-up
lens covers for the scope are $12.00/pair and the screw-in sundshade is
$38.00. They would be sent from my supplier and I think they’ll charge you
about $5.00-$8.00 for shipping. Let me know what you think and if you want
them I’ll have them shipped and send you a paypal invoice.

why don’t the expensive scopes come with these simple accesories?),

Because the good Scopes don’t need crutches! 😉

I had pretty much forgotten about getting a proper shade and caps for my Niffo until you posted. The good thing is that the big Nikko does not flare out like cheap scopes and most of the time you won’t need a shade when other scopes would look like milk inside.

Not seeing a source for the shades or caps online, I found I had some stuff at home already that works OK, I happene to have several Leapers scopes that all came with roughly 3″ shade tubes (why don’t the expensive scopes come with these simple accesories?), anyhow, I found that the tubes while not perfect, will screw into an inner ring on the Nikko so I glued three extra tubes together and I now have a shade for those tough lighting situations. Some Leapers caps work in the pinch but they are not a good fit at all.
