Q:

C02 Adapter leaks

First time poster here. I have the talon ss that I run on C02, 20oz tank.
After my last fill I screwed the adapter to the tank and then to the gun. On the first shot CO2 started blowing straight threw the adapter and out the top hat. Changed 0 rings, no help,,,changed tanks still the same thing…Top hat secure,,adapter leaks even when not on gun…Any ideas,,I have tried with no luck to look on this forum for adapter take apart instructions and can’t find any probably just that I can’t find it, any help appreciated.

I have the same problem with my rws 850 when the orings get dry. Try some oring lube for co2 guns. Divers silicon don’t seem to work for me with co2. The lube needs to be blown through the adapter to lube it’s internals. oring and valve seat.

Maybe trash from dirty co2 preventing the valve from shutting(sealing). Does the tophat move in and out. You might try holding the tophat down and blowing air backwards through the adapter.

To open the Airforce co2 adapter you will need a special tool to fit the 2 small holes in the brass behind the tophat. The Airforce co2 adapter uses the old (original) style hpa valve. The new hpa valve has slots rather than the holes.

Should be able to find a diagram here on the TAG.

BTW been using co2 on my condor and @ 90 degrees or better co2 is a blast….? My HiFlo valve spring retainer (nut) fell off and Airforce warrantied it and will be back home tomorrow. HPA and the my condor Can’t hardly Wait.
