Q:

Dirty CO2

I had an AIRSOURCE CO2 container that just emptied and decided to cut it in 1/2 and see what was inside.

Well it looks pretty dirty in that tank. There is a good amount of debris and rust.

A good example of how a tank can cause contaminants.

I told you there was beer involved. 🙂

Understood, in fact it’s often a given……

I’d be a little careful though, first off it’s hard to fill, doesn’t really hold all that much beer and can give it a funny taste…..

I’ve got an out of date 9oz Co2 tank. I’m tempted to cut it open now.

Cut it open so we can take a look. 😀

Tomorrow!! Busy day and the beer stzrted before it was done. I want to make sure I get the valve off in one piece. It’s an aftermarket with an on/off knob.

Of course with my luck – I’ll cut it and – it will be spotless….

Hey Adam…. it’s Dirty Harry to you. You got a problem with compressed gasses, don’t drag me into it. 😆

Me tooo disappointed bout that….?

BTW when I used 88 gram co2 carts with my RWS 850, there always was trash to be cleaned out before installing a new co2 cart. Don’t use’m anymore, got a B&A long Paint ball adapter now.

Looked like pieces of o ring, black rubber shavings 😕

That is probably not the same grade co2 as they use to clean those
electrical thingamajiggs…lol…That would definately correct some of
the misconceptions of the previous discussion about dirty co2….
