New 18" Barrel install problem

I just got my new.22 cal 18″ barrel from Pyramyd Air. After installing it I took it out for a test shoot. I cocked it, loaded then when I closed the break it stuck and when I freed it, it went off. Should I put some kind of lube on the small end of the new barrel to make it slide easier?
Any suggestions?
