GOT REAR ENDED ON THE WAY BACK FROM RANGE
Went to the range, shot a new bullet.
Got some real good groups –> 1 inch center to center, 5 shots, at 50 yards. Shooting my .357 homebuilt gun. 1000 FPS, 135 grain, 300 FPE.
Bullet was a conical, flat point, 135 grains.
On the way back, I had to go through a bad area.
They got one of the lowest per capita incomes in the nation.
Sitting at a traffic light, look in the rear view, and I see some gal in a junk car, whip out from a side street into the lane behind me.
She wasnt even looking forward!!!!
She didnt even slow down!!
Ramed right into My rear.
Now I am gonna do a Dirty Harry rant!.

Driving a junker!, Insurance is most likley expired.
I made sure, I stood behind her car so she couldnt back up and run.
Cops came, She’s got no license!
They “ran her” — Suspended license!!!
The car was borrowed, It wasnt even her car!!
SHIT!!!
Now I gotta go to court to testify aginst her!
Till the Cops came, Iam feeling a little exposed, with guns in the car, in a very bad neighborhood.
Lots of prostitution, Lots of drug deals, bums sitting on the street corner, you know, a bad neighborhood. Good thing it was still daylight!
I gotta say, the cops were nice.
I declared my guns immediatly.
They didnt even look at the guns, totaly cool!

I bet It would work If they were close too as long as they havn’t got your plate. I was watching one of these police camera action type programs where they were following a bike. They were just about to pull him over when he guns It, Flys over a roundabout, overtakes a few cars and Is gone. They didn’t even bother trying to catch up with him as It would of been pointless 😆

My mum got done for doing 33 In a 30 by a cop running hand held lidar. He got lucky as she usually drives like a snail 😆

The illinois tollway runs between 70 and 85 , but its posted at 45 & 55. The cops know that its just too dangerous to pull anyone over, so they dont!

It is totaly illegal to shoot a “long gun” in this state unless:
it is on your own land
or
at an approved range
shotguns only for deer hunting
The gangs have plenty of guns
There is an ungoing “drive by” gang shooting problem in Chicago.
No such thing as a carry permit here.

Saw: Thanks for the advice! I got the best car insurance there is (at least if you can judge by the premiums). Last accident I was in was 40 years ago, got rear ended that time too!
Its been 7 or 8 years sense the last speeding ticket.
gfaust8: Your right! When I must pass through that neighborhood, I try to time the lights so I never stop. This time I couldnt avoid it, but I did leave 2 car lengths ahead of me so I could run up over the curb and get away if my truck was approached. Those 2 car lengths kept me from punching the car ahead, when I was hit.
One time, a long time ago, I had to go through a worse neighborhood at midnite. Some people say that I was carrying a 1911 .45, loaded and cocked, but I would never admit to that because its illegal here. Thats just what some people say.

well, sorry to hear of your misfortune, hopefully you have uninsured motorist insurance, and if you do your rate will probably go up, go figure.
Pay close attention to your insurance company as to what happens next.

Cops put her in the back seat as soon as she came up “suspended”.
Towed her car.

There was absolutly no reason for this accident, except for totaly incompentnt, carless driving!
