How to remove the TANK COVER
Getting the tank cover off and on the tank can be a daunting task if not done correctly.
The best way to remove the cover is to use a shop air compressor. Shoot compressed air the rear hole of the cover and it will lift off in a few seconds like a rocket. If it is moving a little slow you can shoot air under the edge and it will come right off.
To reinstall you can use the same technique to slide it back on.
If you do not have a compressor to do it the easy way don’t despair. Another method is to remove the air from the bottle. Then take a hair dryer and warm the tank cover to make it pliable and soft. Then you can shimmy the cover off by lifting up on the edge and work it off. Apply heat as needed. For real stubborn cases you can use a butter knife or popsicle stick and work it under the edge of the cover to lift it up and then squirt in a water and dish soap solution between the tank and cover. Continue to separate the cover from the tank to allow the soapy water to lubricate the cover and then shimmy it off.
You can then repair your cracked tank disk or install a new “Woktank Disk”
It is a pain but with come patients is can be done without to much swearing.
