take it off. New production models dont have it….hence it served no purpose. No wonder why AF hasnt figured out how usefull a regulated stock tank would be, their using tape on amoving part to quiet a twang… How primitive. A member on the yellow took his spring out, sprayed it with a rubberized coating, let it dry, dremeled the oute most portion back to the metal, reinstalled, and no more twang.. What a genius…beats a piece f tape.

DAMN IT. Another thing to add to my list… you are right though – much better than the sticker.

Leave it on people. Haha.

It says silencer because, like the knife man said, it “silences” the spring. Just keeps it from vibrating as much. Won’t hurt anything, just leave it alone.

Mine looks like plain ol’ masking tape. Yours is definitely fancy!

id find out if removing it is cause to void your warranty jus my 2 cents

i wonder if heat shrink would help put it on heat it and let i shrink maybe a few pieces 1/2 ” long or longer :18 :18 :18 :18 :18 :18

Waht mine came with was no where as fancy. 😆 It was blue masking tape. Just keeps the spring vibration down.

Don’t pull or take the tag off, Put on at the factory to quiet the Spring 😯

My condor has a piece of masking tape. Yours looks nice?

Sam 😕

At the risk of being flamed….

I pulled mine off a couple of weeks ago when I cleaned the innards real good. I actually think I do hear the spring twang now. Next time it comes apart, I’m going put something similar back on and see if the twang goes away.
