Q:

Whacked a Magpie this morning!

Got out early Sunday morning for some hunting but only was able to see and whack a couple of gophers so decided to go after some Magpies as the farmer really dislikes them.

After 40 minutes of walking in the bush I finally had a shot!! Not perfect as he was way up a tree with branches in the way and the sun was not nice either on my eyes, I selected a .22 Kodiak 21.4 grain pellet and my more powerful valve/tank assembly as it pushes the Kodiaks around 1020 fps.

Took the shot and there was a LOUD whack and cloud of feathers and the Magpie just stayed at the top of the tree!!

Oh well here are some pics zoomed in as far as I could forgot to laser the shot but it was over 40 yards for sure maybe more as I have problems guessing distance vertically.

Just love having a second buddy tank for backup when hiking in the woods.

Nice shootn’ must be something about this week…

Went out Monday morning and the blackbirds were munching the dogs food. Went in grabbed the SS slipped around the corner and WHACK! flipped upside down and just hung there 🙂 If I would not have been headed to work I could have zapped more. The dead one make great bate all their buddies come to check em’ out and its like a shooting gallery.
