Q:

Question about fill pressure?

Does anyone know why my Talon with a standard tank now likes a 2725psi fill at 70 degrees but a few months ago it was 2500psi? I have not done anything to the tank, hammer spring, hammer weight, and the power wheel is on the same setting.

Thanks,
Jeff

Yep the valve stem has burnished itself with use, and functions easier. Probably have a smoother ID of your frame now too, making the hammer strike more powerful.

I bet you are 100% correct RiffRaff because I have had a 25-30fps velocity increase with .22 kodiaks. I think I will just keep shooting like it is though because of the little more power with the same velocity spread when it shot slower.

Thanks

test

10,000 pellets !!!

I guess we now know how many it takes to polish a Talon in ! 😀

Also the gauge could be getting tired.

But with all the stuff I have played with, “The sweet spot always moves” !

did you buy the gun new?
maybe its just breaking in
breech smoothing out and valve and all the springs settling in
just a thought

Yes I bought it new but I have over 10,000 shots through it. With 4-5,000 shots with my most recent pump so the pressure reading is from the same gauge.
