tank problem…
got the air out and the burst disc out but i couldnt get the damn valve off…i guest i dont have the right tools, i was hitting the valve counter clockwise to try and get it off but no luck…so, i put everything back on and tried to pump the tank up…the air just leaked out, no air wouldnt go in…it didnt do this before i empty the tank…
can anyone help me out here?… 😥 😥

I’ve pumped mine (Talon and Condor tanks) up from zero several times and never had a problem.
Are you absolutly sure its not coming from the burst disk? Those things are not designed to be removed and replaced. They create a seal by being deformed so its hard for them to reseal.
well…when i pump up the tank its not coming from the burst disc but from somewhere else…
You can also try spinning the tophat with your finger so set the delrin into the valve. I’ve had to do that after re assembling an otherwise good tank.

Make sure its all properly screwed together and then press in the top hat a few times with your finger if it feels ok then try filling it again – it might just be a case of the delrin seal not being seated properly.
I would continue with removing the valve.
A spanner wrench would be easiest but you can make a collar to fit around the valve with a hole in it. Insert a drill bit through the hole and put a pipe wrench on the collar and it won’t bugger up the valve body. If you have a vise, wrap the bottle in thick towels or magazines to hold it. Another approach is to put the appropriate sized hex tool into the installed burst disc and tap it loose (small taps) with a hammer. The threads may be loc-tited and need warmed with a heat gun.
As far as it not pumping back up… if you’re using a hand pump it won’t be enough to seat the valve. It needs a quick burst of air initially.

i thought u had to take it out to in order to get the valve off…i wanted to take off the valve so i can clean it….
Why did you take the burst-disc out? Did you put it back properly? If you never even managed to loosen the valve the air must be escaping from the burst-disc, unless your whacking upset the tophat/stem assembly.

You’re right. Considering the fill adapter is not leaking I guess it should pump up fine.
Peter, make sure the burst disc and its threads are not damaged. Check tightness of all fittings from pump to bottle. Use soapy water if you have to, to find out where the air is coming from.
