Q:

ammo

i don’t know about where you guys live, but here in sunny southern california, .22 cal pellets are getting like horsefeathers to find…even K-mart, wally world, big 5 and most sporting goods stores i’ve checked at, don’t have any…

i even ordered some off the internet (from out of state) and was able to get only ONE tin of the three i ordered.

there’s no shortage of .177’s but .22 and .20 are very difficult to find, IF you can find them at all.

i asked one dealer and he said he thought it had something to do with a lead shortage…go figure.

my “suspicion” is it fits, some way, some how, with the shortage of .22 rimfire ammo and .223/5.56 ammo…ammo that civilians could, possibly, use against “them”…

in my paranoid, suspicious, mind, i’m suspicious of some sort of govenmentally created “shortage”…especially in military/LE calibers that is related to AR’s and the mexican drug wars or the movement by california to ban lead ammo state wide now. there is no shortage of 30-30 or .22 WMR ammo; as an example.

mind you…this is suspicion ONLY, there exists, no proof whatsoever to support my suspicions. (that i’m aware of)

dang…i keep coming back to that tin foil hat… 😕 🙄 8)

my local dealer finally came across with some .22 pellets…i bought all he had in one type… 😉 😀

Now you’ve got some other poor guy on another forum that was looking for some .22 pellets talking about the conspiracy and why the local dealer never has any. 😆

Dont they sell Miesterklugen? They have always worked well for me.

Don’t recall seeing those at the store. Their in the catalog.
Besides the Preds they have the other RWS, Diasy and Gamo line of pellets all in pointed, wad cutters and hollow point.

The only pellet that our (San Antonio) Bass Pro sells that I would buy are JSB Predators, the rest is crap. As far as actual Air guns, I’ve seen the RWS 48 & 54 in .22 on the shelve. I guess their okay springers. No PCPs 🙁

Its’ a shame that all the Sportsman Warehouse stores went out of business here. They had a good supply of pred’s and JSB’s marked as wolverine’s under the BSA brand. They also had good prices on BSA PCP Air Guns. Odd since AOA is the distributer.

When you can find pellets at any of them, they have hunting pellets in .177 and target pellets in .22? Exactly backwards! 👿

State laws in many states severely hinder the sale of .22 air guns, many consider them on a par with .22 rimfires and they fall under the rules of “real” firearms. For proof, notice how many big-boxes sell .22 airguns… not too many, they’re all cheapo .177s.

It’s easier for the nationwide stores to just blow off the situation and sell nothing rather than deal with individual state laws. It isn’t worth the lawsuit.

his tinfoil hat is not very well made is it? i’ve seen better… 😯 😀

Your in So Cal so go buy from Mac1 airguns in Gardena or Air Venture in Bellflower. I always find .22 pellets at Turners outdoorsman as well as Bass Pro.

And as far as conspiracies go this is a pretty popular
