Q:

.25 question

i was thinking about getting .25 barrel if pellets ever become avaible, but anyways i was thinking that the side walls of the barrel would be real thin in the breech area. is it a problem, and has anyone bent one?

also walkonking is my wife our first female member?

On mine, with PW on 4, I was doing 31gr Kodiaks at 990 fps, for 67 ft lbs, and I have the older lighter plastic hammer.

I’m getting 70 fpe, with the 42’s, and powerwheel on 6, alot of room for more power, but I’m working on shot count, I shot some of Jerrys’ six rings, and got around 90-95 fpe, powerwheel full.

what kind of fps and fpe can one expect from a stock condor with a .25 barrel 24″ in length

While Lang makes a good point, that wouldn’t keep me from going .25 with a traditional AF set up. Yes, the breach end walls are thinner, but I’m not to worried about anything, not with the .25 barrel I got from Tony anyway.

It could bend and/or split, which is why I made mine thicker and provided a modified breech too. Fragile components have no business being in a gun.

Hey, that sounded a bit like Clint Eastwood! 😆

It can bend, but it would not be easy to do so under normal conditions.
