Who makes custom hammer weights?
I know Talon Tunes does. Does anybody on here make them? Also what does a talon hammer plus a Condor weight weigh?

I’ll do you one for £30, inc P&P. Delrin face and core, brass body. I’d need the OD of your barrel and the approx length you want the hammer to be (if you don’t know just measure the one you have in now). And the weight you want of course.

Did you say that you ONLY use the piece 1 instead of the hammer? Or maybe the piece 1 + the piece 2?
Anyway the total length of the parts is less than the original hammer : does not disturb the proper functioning of the spring and valve opening?

make your own, i went to the hardware store and bought a steel bushing, not bronze because they seem lite. the one i bought was a little to heavy side i cut it down and got some sand paper, it took 2 hours and 3.50 dollars and works great. it is 1 inch o.d.(sanded well) 3/4 i.d. and 11/16 long i have no good way to weigh it but i have a diet scale and it weighs 2.7 oz witch converts to 76.5 grams it really helped my gun shoot at the 3000psi mark and i am .22 cal

Any body know how much Tonys are and if they are normally in stock or all custom built to order?
35 pounds + 10 for shipping, so about $75 to get it to the US…
If I remember right the Condor 2 piece hammer is 65 grams … for my .177 with CPH’s I use a 70 gram custom and for .20 caliber a 75’er .. just got a 90 from Tony for my .25 caliber.
Tony’s hammers are the nuts … worth waiting for if he is a little busy 🙂
I’ve knocked out a few, there’s not much to it (so long as you use fresh material and don’t skin-flint with pre-drilled cutoffs like I did with my last one. 😳 😆 Which is now fine I should add, after I cleaned a burr out of it).
What’s Leupy charging these days, just out of interest?

I’ve actually got him makeing me a 70g hammer. I’ll report on it compared to the 75g brass Tony hammer

I can tell you my findings
A stock Talon hammer comes in at 48.33 grams
A hardware store brass bushing is 63.31 grams
The hammer from J3 which seems to be Stainless is at 82.93 grams.
What I think is a hammer that rides the barrel not the frame would be the rat’s ass.
Of course the barrel would need to be polished as well.
