another shroud question

with shroud installed, do you lose any velocity, I understand I need to keep it below where it breaks the sound barrier, but otherwise can I have the gun shooting at 1000fps and still be quiet??

Never noticed an fps drop with a shroud on.
Yes, you can keep it near silent right up to,but obviously not beyond, super sonic speeds( you just hear he action of the rifle and the pellet impact..) 8)
