Air Ranger 177
Just picked one of these up seconds hand on another forum.
Its just been serviced and comes with a 10shot mag, single shot tray, 500cc bottle and cost me £550.00.
It has an ambi stock too so the Mrs will be happy as will I…
What do you guys think of this rifle? I played with an airwolf once and loved it so hoping for something similer from the air ranger.

i will check out some forums here in the uk. its not something that i am too worried about as if it was such a big problem someone by now would have made a fix for it.
Well, the PAG shroud is very good for that as it supports the barrel much better, but that will cost north of a hundred quid + shipping. I would say not to worry about it as it certainly wasn’t a problem in every rifle, just some. Don’t want to scare you.

Do you have an fac? I thought your Stealth was above 12fpe?

Oh, another thing; the shroud and barrel are not particularly well attached to the rifle, so be careful not to press on it as it can change the zero quite markedly. I second the JSB Exacts for pellets, too.

The seller had this rifle for 2.5 years and brought it new. He also said its very accurate so hoping he’s an honest man.
Will post pics when it arrives but expect it will be 10days or so as payment has to clear before he will send it.

Check to make sure that there is no clipping and that everything is free of burrs; early Rangers were notorious for having clipping issues with the shroud.
It likes Range Master 4.50.Also good results from JSB Exacts.
The guy I am buying it from said when it was serviced a new valve was fitted and was chronoed at the local club shooting at 11.8FPE.
I am hoping he told them to get that figure with a particular pellet but I will find out when it gets here.
So long as it is accurate I am not too fused at the power solong as it works between 10.5 – 11.9FPE.
What pellet do you use? I have never used 177 so not sure what way to go.
Just bought an Air Ranger mate,it’s fantastic but i’m having the power upped as it’s only doing 10.2 fpe.
Also there is a mod to remove 100mm off the shroud and fit the reflex silencer,i’ll post pics when it’s done.
Fantastic shot count although mine is 400cc,and super accurate.you got a good deal.
