Q:

$#%&! Udate!

So I bought a Chrony, two weeks ago. I went out to try it today,(bad weather and laziness kept me from shooting) and guess what happened.
Yep about 20 shots and Thunk! I shot it. 👿 FUCK! 👿 I get one number that comes up in the display.

Turns out I had a design flaw in the shroud I made and got some clipping.

😆 😉

send it in for repair they (Chrony )has seen this before!!! mine was repaired or replaced for half the price of a new one. yup a .45 slog does a number on one. p.s. the second one cost me full price!!! oh well my wife will just need to work more o.t. kingpin

I guess I’m lucky, mine has taken 3 hits over the years! One shot went clean thru the back section missing the sensor by a CH! Kinda like the Every-Ready bunny… it just keeps going!
Still accurate as compared to my Pro Chrono.
You might be able to have it repaired, if not too badly damaged.
Good luck, Jim in Ct.

I want to get a nice thick piece of plexiglass to glue to the front if I can get it fixed.

Yep, done that. Did you see the chromi on American Airgunner had a couple
of pellet tatoos. 🙂

I now have a piece of 1/4 steel (3×5″) that I place in front. And yea I have
knocked it over.

So it turns out it was not my shroud design, so much as the fact that whatever glue/epoxy was used for the hammer slap mod. broke loose and was causing the hammer to strike the breech weird, and that is what caused the clipping. So I think everything is back to normal.

Non Shoot’n rookies! 😆 😥

Design-flaw you mean? Unlucky mate, that sucks.

Thank you. 😀

I blasted mine a few weeks ago, but luckily it was a 1/2 inch from any vitals. Sorry to hear yours is ruined 😥
