I’ve been running my TSS with both a .177 and .22 (both 12″) barrel all summer. I have no chrony so cant comment on FPS. At 20yrds, .177 and .22 are a pleasure to shoot. When I go to 30yrds it’s obvious that I’m not getting consistent power delivery and/or just don’t have the umph to hits bulls consistently.
I’ve about warn out the trigger group so I need to order replacement parts and think I’ll pick up a condor hammer at the same time (I think they are a bit heavier) I also have a 24″ barrel on the way. My goal for this set up is just to get enough power for consistent and accurate performance to 40yards as all shooting with this one will be from my basement to backyard (no serious offhand shooting either) and the occasional trip to a range we have on family property. That range is currently limited to 45 yards (that will change in the spring).
I’ll report back when the barrel goes in.
bean, the Condor and Talon utilize the same hammer….The Condor
comes with a wieght that is placed behind the hammer to give it the extra
punch….You can get the weight from AirForce for very little cost…I have
done that….

I chronied mine on co2 with a 12″ 177, stock condor hammer, and I only averaged about 645 FPS, i was looking for a little more myself, but co2 has its limits. Maybe I will try it with my 18″ 177 cal barrel, and see what that does. I wanted to kid it light for my kid, and already got a bug buster scope for it
Find some hand warmers and wrap the bottle…..Should bump up the
pressure a bit…Same effect as a nitrous bottle heating blanket…..Should
probably have a gauge on the co2 bottle to monitor the psi increase if
you are going to warm it and know what the max psi for the bottle is…
What I can tell you… I started running Co2 in my stock talon SS last week.. I chronographed it and am only getting an average of 557 FPS with a Crosman Field Hunting .22 Cal, 14.3 Grain, Pointed pellet.
I wished I could get it to do better… I can not wait to hear what you get with you conversion.
