One hell of a gun!!
I first had it mounted with just the weaver adapters and no tri-rail – it required a small amount of material to be removed from top of magazine and the scope to be mounted more to the rear so its base wouldnt interfere.
I prefer this way so I can mount scope where I want. I could get a few mm lower if I mill down part of the tri rail and screw the mounts to it but for the work it involves for just a few mm I dont think its worth it.

can you get the scope a bit close to the barrel or does the magazine prevent that ?
You can reflash it.
You enter the ballisitc data into desktop and it just outputs a text file which gets saved to the SD card in device so there may be an easier way to manipulate the text file rather than the ROM by replacing the data in the .txt file with data from chairgun.

If the Elcan interfaces with a computer, perhaps it can be hacked to enter more precise/airgun accurate variables? I understand it would probably require a custom app and/or reflash.

It also eats batteries, advertised at 4 hours…. AA’s though so not that hard to find rechargeable and it does have battery saving features (auto off and auto on when it senses movement).
I personally haven’t had a problem with the battery issue because I use rechargeable and always keep a spare set, but it frequently comes up especially compared to NV devices that can run for 40 hours or so on a single set.

Its digital, needs an IR light source such as an IR LED in a flashlight or an IR laser like I have.
Plus being that it can be used during the day as well and it doesn’t suffer any damage should you point it at a bright light source. Con is that its limited to Gen 1 type ranges with it requiring an IR light source and resolution isn’t as high as a Gen 2 or 3.
Built in recording, can make your own reticules and has ballistic tables that is somewhat limited for airguns because weight is accurate to whole grains and not 10th grains but I dont plan on using that and will just draw my own crosshairs with custom aiming points.
