Osprey Scopes
I was looking for a higher maginifaction scope to play around with. I’ve been happy (except for one that wouldn’t focus) with the Centerpoint and Leapers scopes I’m using, so I was willing to take a chance and try one of the less expensive ones.
I ordered a NcStar 10-40 from Optics Planet and recieved someone elses trash. Not only was the angled shade badly marred on the inside but the front lens seemed to have been installed by someone using a hacksaw to get glass to fit in the tube. That went back the same day. I really think someone messed that up, returned it and it was sold as new again.
Just recieved the only other inexpensive one I’ll try. An Osprey 10-40. Not sure I like the AO, no distance markings. I’ll try to fit a sidewheel and make my own (that may be normal, this is my first side focus). Otherwise I’m quite impressed with the build and optics (again – compared to what I’ve been using) of course I’m only steadying it on my chairback and scoping the office building across the street.
I’ll report back when I get it mounted on something and try it out.

I like to have a very up close and personal view of my prey. The look on their little faces as the pellet whizzes by an inch to the right is just priceless.
😆 😆
You shoot the same as me then….. 😆
