chrony string with and without TKO shroud !!!!
ok i finnally got to chrony my 1322 with and without the tko
my gun is a 1322 with an 18in bbl and it has a full shroud from barrel band to 6 inch past bbl
ok 20 pumps without shroud
658 average for 10 shots
with shroud 614 average for 10 shots
there it is
the numbers to prove it
i never realized how much diff it was until i chronyed it
i will be hunting shroud less and targeting with the shroud i guess
chrony was 5 feet from muzzel
shooting 14.3 cp’s

Just throwing this out there, but the set screw holding the breech onto tube could be loose and the weight of the TKO shroud is making it tip forward a tiny little bit making it leak when shot.
could be a turbulence issue
something is wrong there. There should be no difference at all unless there is clipping or other problem.There should be nothing in a shroud to slow down the pellet. the pellet will leave the muzzle at the same fps regardless of what is attached to the bbl. There has to be something in the shroud interfering with its flight. Or your crony is lying! 😀

I’m surprised it’s that much. I have a couple TKO ‘brakes’ on CO2 powered crosmans. I don’t have a chrony but next time I take the rifle down for an attempt at 30yards (always ends up in disappointment) I’ll pull the brake off and see if the groups change.
How far past the barrel does your shroud extend?

12 fps could be the difference from muzzle to crony compared to tip of shroud to crony. Or not. Shouldn’t be happening, unless the pellet is getting a bit of push out side of the bbl. from the blast, which is stripped away with an air stripper or LDC.
12 fps seems possible. Bun nothing like cp is seeing.
