I bought the Zeiss Conquest 1.8-5.5X38mm for my new calling rifle. It was on clearance for $299, so I couldn’t pass it up. It’s been dis-continued, despite having the most exit pupil, and best twilight factor rating of the Conquest line.

It’s a really big scope for it’s magnification range (probably why it wasn’t more popular) but the optics can’t be beat for anywhere in the same universe of $300 (or probably double that). It’s going on a fairly good-sized rifle that will be used on predator calling stands %90 of the time, so the size doesn’t bother me.

Still waiting for the rifle to get here so I can mount it, but I have looked thru it a few times at dusk and whole-e cow the resolution, color fidelity, and bright low-light ability of these optics amazes me. You can peer deep into the darkest shadows with this thing, which is just what I need for the thick Western Oregon rain forests I hunt.

Zeiss Conquest………you won’t be sorry! Awesome value. My next one will be the 2.5-8X32mm.

never looked through a zeiss
but had a Night force for a while on one of my rockriver ars that is until is run it over with the 4 wheeler
talk about an awsome scope
no comparison on anything ive tryed
well minus my acog but thats a diff animal all together

Wait. So it was Awesome after you ran it over?

You ran a nightforce over with 4 wheeler?!?!?!?!?!?!

Burn the heretic!!!!

😯 You had better stick with Tasco and Dasiy’s! Less expensive when you run over them! 😆

Doug has them both. Once the power is turned up, there is no comparison he says. Zeiss. The CLEAR 😆 winner!

Take a peek thru a Nikko Diamond sometimes……crystal clear.

There’s just nothing that can beat good old German optics. Well a stick maybe 😆 !

If you want the best of the best buy Hensoldt(military division of Zeiss).
There are no cut corners there!!

For such a TINY objective lens its pretty good.

Thanks Marc! 😀

I have to be honest when it comes to scopes this nikko diamond 10x50x60 is pretty impressive and not quite the best I’ve ever used but really close and the eye relief is every bit of 3.5″ I wasn’t sure what to expect with this scope but real happy I jumped off the fence.

I have a $40 pair of 12x bushy bino’s that are very impressive for the $

Thank’s Lama! 😀 Good Stuff!!!

The best of the best of the 😉 Sir!

Knife, you’ll like this. Don’t know if you know this or not, but zeiss and blaser work pretty close together to make matching stuff. And if blaser trusts them, I sure do.

Blaser/zeiss just came out with a new combo that has an electronic thingy in it that automatically activates illumination when the safety is turned off. Click on the guy’s thumb to see it.

If I had a hunting rifle, I’d be all over that. With the target one it doesn’t do much good though. 🙁 Guess I’ll just have to buy a hunting rifle!
