Q:

Walther Dominator wont fill

Hi everyone!

My cousin just picked up a Walther Dominator .22 cal. He brought it over last night for a shooting session and we could not fill this thing!

He ordred a filling cap from PyramydAir, installed that onto the cylinder, hooked into the scuba tank and started filling…….the air just came back out!

any suggestions?

Thank you

Sorry, what is the fill whip?

Thanks

Did you cock the gun before filling? With some guns, you need to cock it to relieve pressure off the valve stem or the air will come out the breech, barrel area.

cock the gun….just pull the bolt back, dont load it… and give a burst of air through the SCUBA tank to seat the stem…. then fill the rest of the way slowly.

Does your fill whip have a block and bleed?
if a gun uses an inlet check valve without a spring it requires a fast venting to seat the check. So try a fill block it in and then vent it quickly.

Good luck

Walter….
